Welcome to CAIMUN 2012!

Dear Delegates, Sponsor Teachers, Schools:    

I cordially invite you, delegates and sponsor teachers, to 2012’s annual session of Canada International  Model United Nations (CAIMUN). Taking place from May 25th to May 27th in Vancouver, the host city of 2010 Winter Olympics and WorldMUN 2012, CAIMUN 2012 will convene over 700 high school delegates from around the globe.

Introducing many aspects of the UN and diplomacy unfound in most MUN conferences around the globe, CAIMUN strives to educate youth, raise awareness of global issues, create valuable networks, and become a forum of unfettered expression. 

Rather than a mere la-vie-en-rose simulation of the UN, CAIMUN emulates the reality. From transforming routine position papers to press releases and diplomatic cables, integrating Wikileaks and investigative journalism into committee sessions, to holding a NGO convention, CAIMUN is where new things begin.
